Cliff Worley graduated from the University of California, Berkeley majoring in business in 2004. While at UC Berkeley, Cliff interned for three years at Hitachi Data Systems in Silicon Valley, CA. Cliff worked in various IT roles, including desktop engineering and support and web development.
Upon his graduation, Cliff took a full-time position as a Systems Engineer at Hitachi. After three years of working in desktop engineering, Cliff transitioned onto an IT project management role at Hitachi as a Senior Inventory Analyst. Cliff managed various software rollouts and IT projects.
In 2010 after nine years in Silicon Valley, Cliff decided it was time to advance his career to the next level. Taking a huge risk, he left his analyst position at Hitachi and applied to business school. Shortly after leaving his corporate job, Cliff was accepted into the #1 masters program for entrepreneurship in the US at Babson College in Boston, MA.
In 2011 while attending Babson, Cliff took an internship at The Nielsen Company working in IT project management. To his surprise, Cliff then realized that IT project management was going to be a thing of the past.
In his final year at Babson while pondering his life after MBA, Cliff took a class taught by world renowned mogul Daymond John, CEO and Founder of FUBU and TV personality on ABC’s business reality show, Shark Tank. During the class, a team of MBA students had to vet several of the companies that Daymond made investments in on Shark Tank. Cliff took the lead on one of the most important investments for Daymond at the time and had great success with the project during his final two semesters at Babson.
When Cliff graduated, he was offered a Chief Digital Officer position at the Shark Group, a branding consultancy firm created by renowned entrepreneur Daymond John. At the Shark Group, Cliff set the digital strategy for Daymond John and worked as a digital strategy consultant for all of his Shark Tank investments.
Cliff Worley is currently the Digital Engagement Director at Kapor Center for Social Impact where he creates and manages the digital strategy for the non-profit side and for the investment side of Kapor Capital.
Cliff especially enjoys consulting and helping small businesses and entrepreneurs find success in their personal and professional endeavors. He is also on the board of The Nasdaq Entrepreneurial Center. The Nasdaq Entrepreneurial Center is a San Francisco-based non-profit designed to educate, innovate, and connect aspiring and current entrepreneurs.
