Building your list can be a rewarding feeling but not knowing where your leads originate from can be one of your biggest mistakes to make in your online business. People will always tell me that they have X amount of people paying X amount a month on their membership sites but I always ask them where did their leads come from. Usually when they go check to see, their lead source category is left blank on that contact record. This is due to not setting up their lead source management from the beginning.
Unfortunately there is no way to get this information back. I will then show them how to set their lead source management within their CRM and how valuable it can be to growing a business. Lead source management is like a science and needs to be learned. Are your customers coming from your blog, Facebook Fan Page, Twitter, Pinterest, or Google.
