So I was running a contest for one of my clients and I noticed that very few people were entering the contest. I found out that this was due to the fact that I was posting a link to the contest in my Facebook posts.
Facebook seems to throttle the amount of people who see a post when you attach a link to a post. Once I directed people to my client’s fan page without posting a link to the contest, I not only saw an increase in people who entered the contest but I also saw an increase in the number of viewers who saw my posts.
